As to quilting, feathers seem a bit formal for the feel of the quilt. I wonder about various fills in alternating "logs': something like ribbon candy in one, wishbone in another, and one I don't have a name for, but three lines horizonally followed by three vertically and others. claire aka knitnkwiltClairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05981369630696737026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893619710941204763.post-23353809287625518662016-03-03T20:52:51.865+00:002016-03-03T20:52:51.865+00:00Seriously cute quilt. My only addition is make sure the amount of stitching is fairly even. Don't quilt like crazy in the white/light area and just a little bit in the darks. It will look wonderful even if you decide to do an all over meander. Good luck. I would SID the cabins and the trees (and their details) - and also the brown parts of the log cabin blocks - then treat the white areas as negative space with an all-over filler design - which would make all those dark areas and the featured cabins and trees really pop! (Just my thoughts - can't wait to see what you do!). I know it will be gorgeous...whatever you do.andrea @ tideline quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11110176919528258803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893619710941204763.post-3852611859800433582016-03-02T16:19:50.683+00:002016-03-02T16:19:50.683+00:00Let's see. As for the ugly sweaters quilt, I think you've got yourself some wonderful choices!
