This year I am less freaked out although my sewing has a few issues with it that I'm choosing to ignore. Again a simple block. I can think up more interesting ones and draw them....but sewing them and explaining them is beyond me at this point. Like Bernie, I'm glad I pushed myself as well. I see myself in a different light now regarding quilting. And a name too! I thought of that and have put it on hold until I finish my design. As for your question, I agree with Paula. The lime will draw the eye even if it's a little. Although I also will say that there appears to enough contrast so you can easily leave it as it is and have more lime! I love lime so that option is definitely a good one too.Jennifer Fulton Inquiring Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03400876555711424955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893619710941204763.post-32441507364772876292016-09-02T10:43:55.159+01:002016-09-02T10:43:55.159+01:00Such a great fabric haul! I am looking forward to your big reveal on the 12th, but I hope the days pass slowly. Time seems to be rushing by far too quickly. I don't follow Cheryl. I'll have to pop over and check out her mystery quilt! Enjoy your day! On your question, I would go for switching A, the lime, with B for variety of contrast and even If A uses a little less, the lime is definitely going to draw the eye. Good luck, can't wait to see what you do.PaulaB quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03850498636712774853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893619710941204763.post-4717192511791624102016-09-02T05:08:47.059+01:002016-09-02T05:08:47.059+01:00I love the linens you bought and can't wait to...I love the linens you bought and can't wait to see your block. Yes, it was soooo itimidating. But I am glad, looking back, that I pushed myself to do it. It was far out of my comfort range and sometimes it is good to try things one wouldn't otherwise do. Well, safe things like creating a quilt block anyway. ;-)Bernie Kringelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00753481379287809548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2893619710941204763.post-22709583247596046292016-09-01T22:13:55.381+01:002016-09-01T22:13:55.381+01:00Kate, I know your block will be great! :) What a ...Kate, I know your block will be great! :) What a great fabric haul.
