1 Complete the top, layer, quilt, and bind my circles quilt.
2 Start my new quilt to be revealed later this month, I am aiming to make the first three parts.
No pic because it isn't started yet and it's a secret.
4 Complete my Elephant and I quilt top, I cut the fabric strips last year then decided to change a couple of the colours, I haven't touched it since. So another one with no pic.
5 Finish all the mug rugs and coasters I blogged about here. Yes, its a tall order I know but I'm going to make the effort. Here is a pic of some of them.
6 Layer quilt and bind my Little House in the Woods quilt. You have seen it before but here it is again. To tell the truth I'm afraid of making a mess of it.
7 Make the Ugly Christmas Sweaters quilt, so far one block done and I'm not happy with that!
So that is the list for the quarter. I would be very happy if I get half done.
I am also going to join in with the Meadow Mystery Quilt. I've never done a mystery quilt before so I'm quite excited about it. I just need to make my fabric selection.
Can I just remind you all it is still the New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop, Monday 11th July is week 3. In my group Miss - Bee Hivin' the new quilt bloggers this week are:

Please stop by and say hello, it will mean such a lot to them.
Our hosts this year, Cheryl, Yvonne and Stephanie have the details of all the quilters in the blog hop, AND have news of some very wonderful giveaways.
I am linking up with Nicky from Mrs Sew and Sow for the Q3 goal setting.

I am in love with your elephant fabric on the pillows. You really really should finish them. Please.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals Kate: I'll be happy if I get mine done as well. I'm glad you are joining the mystery with Cheryl. Cheryl's mysteries are great fun and easy to keep up with as they move at a slow pace...although I did manage to fall behind for a bit last year but caught up by the end.
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is about a year's worth of projects for me!! I will be curious to see how your progress. I love the log cabin lt and wouldn't it be nice to have that finished up for winter?
ReplyDeleteI've never done a mystery to me lt but I feel like I can't take something else on right now. However, I think I could very happily enjoy the process vicariously by reading about your project. So that is my plan!
Wow! You have a lot of WIP's that started before I started following you. How fun to see them all! Love the Little House in the Woods. You can't mess that up. It will be cute no matter how you decide to quilt it. I didn't know you were going to do the Meadow Mist mystery quilt. I'm with Bernie, it will be fun to see yours develop.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
ReplyDeleteI joined the finish along this quarter as well. I figure maybe a little incentive may help me get things done. I will see you on the blog hop tomorrow. Excited to learn a bit more about you.
I've never been brave enough to try the quarter goals...I crack under pressure:) I love all the projects you've picked for your list. They are going to be beautiful. Can't wait to see your fabrics for Meadow Mystery.
ReplyDeleteGood list with lots of variety. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a big load on your list. Which ones are most important or will make you happy to see finished? Can you put some in a "maybe" category? What about the ugly sweater, do you really want to do it? Remember the new things you are adding also. Good luck with your plan, friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're joining in the FAL too. Good luck with your projects !
ReplyDeleteHi Kate!
ReplyDeleteI love your little house in the woods! You do have a lot to finish! It was nice to see all your WIPs, and I look forward to seeing them completed!.

A healthy list, all doable! I can relate to goal #6! That's how I was feeling about the sampler quilt until Anja challenged me to just do it! I'm looking forward to seeing each goal as accomplishments! XO
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list! I love your elephant cushions!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list! I'm doing FAL and I'm telling you it does help you get things done. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a list... I love your elephants and color choices!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. All of these Finish Your UFOs movements just make me feel bad. I can't do quilting goals. My goals are like, "Today I will spend at least four hours working on the soul-sucking business web site that I despise while my kids are at day camp, and I will exercise, and I will do laundry and pack lunches for tomorrow, and if I finish all of that and there are still a few hours left in the day, THEN I get to go to my sewing room and make a quilt block as a reward! If I relaxed by taking bubble baths, I wouldn't set a goal and tell myself I was 3,000 bubbles behind my goal for 3rd quarter. :-) But it sounds like you have a lot of great projects going on. I hope the FAL works for you and helps you reach the finish line!
ReplyDeleteI would be happy if I got all that done in a year! Good luck with making progress this quarter.
ReplyDeleteI love those elephant mug rugs! They are just darling! (And the other project too, of course!)
ReplyDeleteThe elephants are fabulous. You have a big list for the quarter. Wow!! I work part-time, and my list is much shorter. Good luck with finishing your projects. I am looking forward to seeing them!!
ReplyDeleteWhat great projects you have to work on. I love the elephant cushions and the elephant mug rugs!
