New to me quilting stitch

Just a short post to link up with Pink Doxies May Brave Quilter link up.

I have already linked with Heidi at Red Letter Quilts OMG for my City Lights quilt, but I want to do something new, I am going to try straight line quilting using the Serpentine stitch (Bernina 4).  Not only that but because the quilt is multicoloured I am stitching with a toning grey thread which I can't hide.  Oh noooooooooo.!   You will be able to see my stitching, no hiding place and I will be revealed as a fraud.

Here it is, one last pic of my beautiful quilt before it is forever changed.

    It will be great! Just remember, NO drag! The first time I used the serpentine stitch, I wasn't very good at keeping the quilt free from hanging off the edge, and I had issues. The second one was a breeze, and I used gray thread, too! Have fun and good luck!

    Let's try this again! I had some silly auto correct errors last time.
    I have seen several projects quilted with the serpentine stitch and I loved the look of it. I'm sure yours will be great. I look forward to seeing it!

    You can do it and I know you will do a good job. I use Warm and White batting which allows for 8-inch spacing between rows of quilting, so I don't have to do them very close. Also, with the larger quilts in square blocks like yours, I've done them diagonally, which is easier to get through the machine, because of only the one long diagonal and then they get shorter on each row, and you can tuck the extra fabric through more easily. Are you using a walking foot? It really helps, no puckers or pleats on the back. You CAN do it,

      Thank you for your confidence :) It is now started and although there was some problems when my machine had a tantrum normal service has been resumed and I'm hoping I can show you the finished quilt next week.
